Mr.S.V.L.N.Sarma  is a post-graduate in Political Sciences from Mysore University. He is a Fellow of Insurance Institute of India.

 Mr.S.V.L.N.Sarma joined in the Insurance Industry in the year 1963. He worked for over 39 years  in United India Insurance Co.Ltd.,  He worked in different capacities at Hyderabad, Bhopal, Lucknow and finally retired from Guwahathi as Regional Manager.

Mr.S.V.L.N.Sarma was adjudged as the Best Divisional Manager in the country by General Insurance Corporation of India during the time that he was heading a Divisional Office at  Bhopal during the year 1987-88. He was invited by GIC  to Vigyan Bhavan at New Delhi to receive a Trophy and Merit Certificate from  the then Hon’ble Finance Minister in the presence of GIC Chairman.

After opening up of Insurance Sector and introduction of yet another Insurance Intermediary viz. Broking Companies, Mr.Sarma worked as a Principal Officer in one of the Broking Companies in Hyderabad having passed the Broker’s Examination conducted by NIA.

During his tenure as Regional Manager of UIIC Ltd.,at Guwahathi, he succeeded in introducing computerization in all the Branches and Divisions under  his jurisdiction.

Presently Suri Shrama is a faculty member in Govt Insurance and Institute of insurance and risk management ( IIRM ) Hyderabad.
