Mr. C.Surya Rao is a Post –Graduate and a fellow of Insurance Institute of India. He is also Post-Graduate in Business Management.

Mr.C.Surya Rao has joined Life Insurance Corporation of India in the year 1962 and worked in Life and General Insurance Departments. In the post-nationalization scenario of General Insurance Industry, he served in National Insurance Company. He worked in various places in different responsible positions and he retired as a MANAGER in the year 2000.

Besides, he got varied experience and exposure towards teaching line having undertaken various training programmes to the officials of National Insurance Company at their Regional Training Center. He was instrumental in organizing several workshops to their valued clients imparting Insurance awareness and education for better Risk Management.

Post retirement, he worked as a visiting Faculty at ICFAI teaching Insurance subjects viz. Underwriting management, Claims management, Health Insurance, etc.

At present he is actively associated with IIRM as a Visiting Faculty Member teaching Reinsurance, Risk and Insurance, Private Medical Insurance etc. He is an author of two books published by IIRM relating to Motor Insurance and Personal Insurance (Non – Life).
