Mr. G. Raj Gopal is a Graduate in Science and Law and Post Graduate in Business Management (MBA). He is also a Fellow of the Insurance Institute of India. He comes with extensive professional exposure having held management positions in General Insurance and IT domains spread across geographies. He started his career in the year 1980 in Banking with State Bank of Hyderabad and later moved to the insurance sector.

He joined National Insurance Company as a Direct Recruit Officer in the year 1985 and held several responsible positions in Underwriting, Claims, Marketing, HR and Training departments both at the operational offices and regional office. He left National in 1993 to take up an overseas job with Norwich Union Insurance in their Saudi Arabian operations at Jeddah and subsequently moved to Bahrain. Apart from insurance operations he was also the Business Leader for the computerization of Norwich Union’s Middle East operations.

He came back to India in 1999 and was COO of a startup Internet company which launched the insurance portal bimaoline.com.

He subsequently held management positions in the Insurance Practice groups with IT & ITES companies like Visual Soft Technologies, HCL Technologies, Wipro Technologies and AIR Information Technology.
