DISTANCE COURSES  OFFERED

Courses: The following Courses are offered under distance mode for the 11th Batch commencing from July 2012.

(i) International Post Graduate Diploma in Life Insurance(IPGDLI)

(ii) International Post Graduate Diploma in General Insurance(IPGDGI)


(iii) International Post Graduate Diploma in Risk Management (IPGDRM)

Duration : of each of the above three Courses is one year – Two Semesters, each of about 16 weeks duration.

Eligibility:(i) Employed professionals with minimum Graduate Degree in any discipline (including Engg and Management) from a  recognised university/Institute with at least 50% marks. Candidates with professional qualifications like CA, ICWAI, CS are also eligible.


(ii)  Self employed  Graduates of any discipline (with minimum 50% marks)
and  aged 30 years and above may also be considered for admission

(iii)   Employment is an essential criteria for admission. Employed   candidates will be considered only if their applications are   forwarded by their Employers.

Note: A. Those having Post-graduate qualification or additional degree with more than 50% will be considered even if such candidates secure less than 50% in the first degree.

B. In case of Sponsored candidates and those working in financial sector (like Banks, Mutual funds, insurance companies) the restriction of acquiring 50% in Graduation is waived.

Mode of selection: Admission to these Courses will be based on academic qualification and experience computed as per the weightage given below:

Weightage for Experience: 4 marks for every completed year, subject to a maximum of 20 marks

For the purpose of computing weightage, Bachelor degree in Engineering will be treated at par with Post graduates

Study Material:Every student admitted to a Course is provided with study material for each Subject. In addition a list of reference books may also be suggested.

Contact Classess:Students will be provided with opportunity of contact classes on the dates notified  for the subjects offered during that Semester. For this purpose students have to register their names in advance  Outstation students have to make their own arrangements for their stay and travel.

Examinations: Held at the end of each semester at Hyderabad. Duration of each paper is 3 hours

Maximum Period for Completion of Course: A student who is admitted to a distance course should pass all subjects and obtain Diploma  within a period of three years, counting from the year of his enrolment, after which his admission gets automatically lapsed.

Jurisdiction: All disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the courts at Hyderabad.
