The course is called the
P.G. Diploma in
Actuarial Sciences of
IIRM. Due care
is taken to teach the
same subjects
prescribed for the professional examinations of the
Institute of Actuaries of India, Mumbai and at the same stringent
standards, so that the students get well prepared to
take up the I.
A.I. examinations with a good deal of confidence, as
also Institute’s P.G. Diploma examinations.
Post Graduate
Diploma in Actuarial Sciences has been granted VEE Credits
for 3 Subjects
(Finance and
Financial Reporting, Statistical Methods and economics) by
the Society of Actuaries (SOA), Illinois, USA. (click for Society of actuaries (SOA),
Illinois, USA)
The Course is for a period of
15 months duration and spread over three semesters
with one and half month's internship
.
The academic year starts from Monday
9th July,2012. There will
be a qualifying examination at the end of each semester for
the subjects taught during that semester. The details are
given below:

The course
schedule will be for
6 day a week
and 6 hours a
day of class room lectures.

Students will
have to appear for
IIRM
examinations apart from the professional
examinations at convenient intervals. Absence
from IIRM’s semester examinations is serious breach
of discipline inviting exemplary action.

Students who
pass the IIRM examinations with a
55%
threshold marks will be eligible for a
P.G. Diploma
(Actuarial Science) issued by IIRM. This is
irrespective of the results at the professional
examinations.
Award of
Exhibition Prize: IIRM awards
scholarships of Rs.50,000/- to students who successfully
complete IPGDAS in one academic year.
Jurisdiction: All
disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the courts at
Hyderabad.
